Tempt Me, Cowboy (Copper Mountain Rodeo)

Alright, I am developing a thing for cowboys!  I just finished reading Tempt Me, Cowboy by Megan Crane, which was a lovely contemporary novella with a little Montana/Western flavor.

The heroine of Tempt Me, Cowboy is Chelsea, a history teacher who is afraid to step out of the comfort zone provided by her hometown, classroom & dowdy clothes.   The hero, Jasper, struck it big in oil & decided to favor small town life in his retirement by moving to rural Montana & opening a brewery. These opposites meet as a result of Jasper buying the historic building Chelsea has been working toward acquiring to turn into a museum of the town’s history. When the small town girl & rich out-of-towner collide, sparks fly & the next thing you know there is a scandal about town because good old Chelsea finally let her hair down.

I adored this short story, and found myself wishing it was longer when it was over. Likable characters, good dialogue, and a motorcycle riding cowboy with a delicious Texas drawl. I’d highly recommend this for a quick, fun read (especially if you enjoy a sweet & sexy man in cowboy boots).

Tempt Me, Cowboy is the first in a series of 4 novellas about the fictional town of Marietta, Montana.  The novellas are by different authors working collaboratively under the umbrella of Montana Born Books.  I am excited to see what comes next from this group of authors because l love what Megan did with the first novella; check out what they’re doing next here: https://www.facebook.com/MontanaBornBooks
